How can I set up a Budget in my macOS App to control my Spending?

Create a budget plan in your Outbank App, to control your spendings and save money.
You can choose from several different budget types. The budgets are linked to the categories and tags you assign to your transactions. This way, with every new transaction, your budgets get updated automatically.

Please note that budgets only work, if you categorize or tag your transactions.

Follow the steps below create a new budget:

  1. Open the 'Reports' > click on 'Budgets' and then on 'Add Budget'.
  2. Choose an icon for the desired budget type.
  3. Enter a budget name.
  4.  Enter the amount of your budget.
  5. Sect the recurrence of your budget.
  6. Choose the categories and / or tags you want to add to this budget. Note, that at least one category or one tag must be assigned to a budget.
  7. Select the accounts to include in your budget.
  8. If you allow the notifications, Outbank will remind you when you reach 90% and 100% of your budgeted amount for the selected period. If you don't want to receive a notification, simply uncheck the 'Reminder' box.
  9. After saving your Settings, your budget will be shown in 'Reports' under 'Budgets'.

The budgets are grouped by budget period. Each budget group has its own card in the Reports.
