To transfer your Outbank data from an MacOS device to an Amazon FireOS device, please use the local backups:
- Launch the Outbank app on your iPhone / iPad, go to 'Settings' and then 'Backups.'
- Create a new backup or click on ‘Show backups’ and select an existing one. Forward to backup to your Amazon Fire Tablet e.g., via email. Send the backup to your own email address.
- If you haven't already done so, install Outbank on your Amazon Fire Tablet through the Amazon Appstore.
- Open the email on your new Fire Tablet. Download the backup file from Outbank to your device and save it in a designated local folder.
Check if the file extension is ".obk" has been removed during data transfer. If yes, simply rename the file. Make sure that there are no extra spaces in the filename.
(Example of correct filename: Outbank_Backup_20230907-1752+0000.obk) - Tap on the local backup file and select Outbank to open the file.
- Enter the Windows app’s App Password you used to generate the backup.
Important Note: One Subscription for all devices
If you've already purchased the Outbank subscription in the Mac App Store, you can transfer it to your Amazon Fire Tablet. To do so, sign in to both devices using the same Outbank ID email address in the Settings of Outbank.
If you don't already have an Outbank ID, you can create a new one through the app's settings.
