How can I manage my insurances in the Outbank App? - iOS-Version / Insurances - Outbank Helpdesk

How can I manage my insurances in the Outbank App?

To ensure that you always have the most up-to-date data in your app, Outbank fetches insurance policies directly from the systems of insurance providers. Unlike other providers who search through transaction details for insurance policies, you always have the most up-to-date insurance data in your app. The advantage of this feature is that you see significantly more details than with contracts recognized from transactions provided by your banks.

How can I add my insurance policies to Outbank?

  • In the iOS, Android, and Windows versions, navigate to '+NEW' > 'Insurance'.
  • In the macOS version, go to 'Options' > 'Add Insurance'.

For synchronization, you need the credentials you use on your insurer's online portal to view your insurance policies. If you need help adding your insurance policies, please feel free to reach out to our technical support via the app settings ('Help' > 'Contact support').

Where can I find my insurance policies in the app after adding the credentials?

  • Capital-building insurances are displayed in the account list.
  • Other insurances (property, health, or car) are shown in the contract overview.

If you have already added insurance policies manually, we recommend deleting the old, manual contracts and continuing with the new integrations:

  • In the iOS, Android, and Windows versions, open the 'Contracts' menu, select the manually created contract under 'Active', and click on 'Delete' at the bottom of the contract details.
  • In the macOS version, go to 'Contracts', select the contract under 'Fixed costs', and click on 'Delete' at the bottom of the contract details.

Like normal bank accounts, insurance accounts can be updated automatically and manually:

  • On iOS, Android, and Windows, pull the contract list down ('Pull-to-Refresh') or swipe right over the cell of the contract account header.
  • On macOS, go to 'Contracts', use the Refresh button, or use the CMD+R shortcut.

Adding a new insurance to existing account:

If you are adding a new insurance policy with your insurer, please wait until the insurance is displayed in the online portal and then update your existing access and insurance account as follows:

  1. Update Credentials:
'Settings' > 'Bank Credentials' > 'Select Insurance' > 'Update Configuration'.
  2. Refresh existing insurance account:
'Contracts' > 'Refresh contracts' (drag the contract list down on iOS, Android, and Windows and use the refresh button on macOS).

Can I decide for myself which insurance should be displayed and included in my monthly balance?

Yes, using the settings in the insurance details, you can decide whether the monthly contract fees should be included in the total amount and whether the insurance should be displayed in your contract overview.

Can I also link my contract documents to the insurance?

If you use the Docutain app (iOS and Android only), you can scan and save your contract documents in Docutain and link them to your insurance contract in Outbank.
