Your savings goals are displayed in a dedicated card within the reports section of the app. Here you can quickly see your savings progress. The individual savings goal fields show you how much you have already saved and how much is still missing until you reach your goal. The progress circle next to each savings goal fills up with each new transaction.
To edit an existing savings goal, follow these steps:
- On iOS- and macOS: Open the savings goal in the overview and click 'Edit'.
- On Android, Windows 11, and FireOS : Select the savings goal in the list and tap or click on the 'Pen' icon.
In the savings goals details, you have a variety of options to customize your savings goal:
- Icon: Change the goal's icon by selecting from a range of appealing options.
- Name: Customize the name of your savings goal to reflect your specific target.
- Amount: Modify the goal's total amount by simply typing your desired figure in the number field.
- Categories / Tags: Click on 'Edit categories' or 'Edit tags' and add new tags or categories or remove existing ones. Note, that each savings goal must have at least one category or tag. We recommend creating the appropriate categories or subcategories for your specific goals.
- Accounts: Here you can select accounts and account groups to be included in the savings goal.
- Notifications: If you enable notifications for the savings goal, Outbank keeps you updated about your progress. You will receive push notifications when you reach key milestones: 15%, 50%, 80%, and when you hit 100% of your savings target.
- ‘Show Transactions’ opens the list of all the transactions linked to your savings goal. You can easily remove linked transactions by adjusting their associated tags and categories.
- Archive / Activate: With this button, you can archive and reactivate savings goals. The active and archived savings goals are displayed separately in the savings goal overview.
- Delete: To delete a savings goal, simply tap or click on the Delete button.
